An incredible cushion diamond engagement ring. This particular diamond was selected for this project because of its pure beauty, how it has been handled and cut by the diamantaire is just incredible. Which has lead to this stone exuding fire with every movement.

The planning of a diamond engagement ring for me can be a very fluid process, sometimes I just know immediately what I need to make other times like with this project I had many considerations to take into account. The main stone in this piece is quiet expensive because of its superior quality so I took my time (Over a year) to find the right side diamonds which I could only choose by eye. On a trip I found these unique little beauties at Ernst Färber a very rare matching pair of long kite shape diamonds which once I spotted I knew they would work perfectly! (Thank you Beatrice!)

Buying a high jewellery piece is different to that of a more commercial piece, the expectation of perfection is rooted in the process, the materials used and the craftsmanship involved in creating a piece that could end up in Monaco or New York on the finger of a celebrity or a billionaire. This type of piece being hand made in Dublin Ireland fills me with so much joy knowing that I am part of the preservation of a goldsmithing and design tradition that can and does compete on a global stage.
